Prayer Resources and How To Use Them

Have you ever been away from your resources like books of prayer or needed prayer and not known how to pray in a situation. If you have a cell phone or a computer you are only a call or click away from help.

One of my favorite resources is www.prayers.org
This is a website by Germaine Copeland. She is the author of many books with the theme of "Prayers That Avail Much." If you are in need of a prayer to pray, you can click into this website and then click on the left side of the site where it says "PRAYER SEARCH." A search box comes up and you put in some words and watch the prayer choices pop up. I put "blood of Jesus" into the search box and it came up with sixteen different prayers to choose from including "10. Deliverance From Satan and His Demonic Forces." This is a wonderful prayer to pray for yourself and others that binds you to the attributes of God and looses the attributes of the flesh from a person. I have prayed this prayer many times over myself and others in love and seen many situations change dramatically in my life. It is a prayer that is based on the Word of God, just as all of the prayers written by Germaine Copeland are.

If you want to search for other prayers on this site, try putting in words like the fruits of the Holy Spirit. You can search words like "love" or "humility" or "salvation" or "holy spirit" or "truth" or "peace" or "children" or "mother" or "marriage," etc. Put one category in at a time and then press the search button. There are also other facets to this site and you can have a good time learning about prayer.

If you do not have access to the internet but have a cell phone and need prayer, try the following resources:
  • Kenneth Copeland Prayer Line: 1-800-600-7395 (Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
  • 700 Club: 1-800-759-0700 (Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
  • Joyce Meyer Prayer Line: 1-866-349-3300 (Open Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Central Time)
Say a prayer before you call, for example:
  • Heavenly Father, show me if I should call for prayer, and if so, which ministry I should call. Please give me the person I need to pray with, the words to speak, and the person saying the prayer the words to pray. Thank you Heavenly Father for providing these resources for me. Bless them and increase them, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
Remember that the Bible says that we should be instant in prayer and that whenever two or more are gathered in Jesus' name, He is there.

Joyce Meyer Ministries will ask for only your first name, the state you are calling from and if you receive her magazine (which is free). They have prayed many prayers for me and those I love over the years.

Kenneth Copeland and 700 club ask initially your full name and address and then after that usually just ask your name. They do not bother you with a lot of stuff but do offer literature from time to time as they feel led to. God bless you as you join with other believers in prayer, praying the word of God over all that concerns you.

A good way to keep these numbers in your cell phone is to enter them as "prayer KCM" for Kenneth Copeland prayer line, "prayer JMM" for Joyce Meyer Prayer Line, and "prayer CBN" for 700 club prayer line. If you have voice recognition on your cell phone, you can say things like "Joyce prayer" or "Kenneth prayer" or "700 prayer" and your phone will auto dial the number. You can do this with other ministries and other prayer lines. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!
