Bible - Giving in Secret: Part Two

Have you ever noticed all the blessings in the Bible. Here is a blessing for giving in secret.

Matthew 6:4 (King James Version)
That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

This means that if you give in secret that Your Heavenly Father will reward you openly. The person you gave to may never know that you gave but you will be blessed directly from God for it. Pray that God will help you to see this blessing in your life.

What is an ALM? Here is the definition of the word "alm:"
According to Webster's Dictionary published in 1828 an alm is any thing given gratuitously to relieve the poor, as money, food, or clothing, otherwise called charity. (see note #1)

Here is how a website for ALMS IN SECRET came to be:
The alms in secret website takes it's idea from Matthew 6:1-4 of the King James Bible (see note #2). It allows a person to give money to someone that they know is in need without the recipient knowing who sent it. The person who gives is notified when the person they give to receives their gift. I think this is a great way to help our fellow man.

Note #2:
Matthew 6:1-4 (King James Version of the Bible)
1-Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2-Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3-But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4-That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
