Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. -Philippians 4:8 (Bible, King James Version)
Proverb for the Day - Young and Old
Today is Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Today I am reading the 20th chapter of Proverbs. I have chosen verse 29. It talks about a young man' strength is his glory and an old man's gray hair is his splendor. I thought about this for a few minutes and wondered if it means that when a man is young he is full of energy, strength, and he is ready to take the world by the tail and swing it around. When a man becomes old his physical strength lessens but his wisdom increases. He can look at the world from a far better vantage point. All in all they are both good times in life.
